How I Met Your Mom

A man walks into a bar, rough day at his life,

looking for a laugh, someone to amuse,

better yet, someone to listen while he sings

his sad song. The bartender, after a few brews,

tells him a story about a man just like himself –

bad day at the office – finds true love who’s

on the next bar stool. He blinks a few times,

slowly turns his head. It’s not the booze –

hunched over her beer and whiskey the most

beautiful woman in the world revels in her tattoos.

The man is at a loss for words; hems and haws,

stutter-steps around until he finally screws

up the courage “What have you got to lose?”

She shyly smiles, then pukes on both his shoes.
